Director of Family Ministries (Full Time)

Harvest Mississauga is a diverse and down to earth church at the crossroads of four growing GTA cities, aiming to fulfill the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. In support of this mission, the Director of Family Ministries will provide strong and effective care and discipleship for the children, youth, parents and young adults of our church. Responsibilities will include overall direction of the ministry, development of leaders and volunteers, as well as support and training in family discipleship.

CHARACTER

  • Mature follower of Jesus Christ with character consistent with Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Tim. 3:1-7
  • Wholeheartedly embraces the mission, vision, and doctrine of Harvest Bible Chapel Mississauga

COMPETENCE

  • Seminary degree (or in progress) preferred
  • 5-10 years of ministry experience working with children and families
  • Strong collaborative and relational skills
  • Leadership and teaching gifts
  • Organizational and administrative skills
  • Able to train, teach, equip, manage and empower teams

Contribution

  • Provide oversight and leadership for all children (Sunday Programs, Awana, Day Camps), youth and young adult ministry staff and volunteers
  • Equip parents to fulfill their calling as the primary spiritual leaders of their children
  • Offer courses and counseling for families in marriage preparation, marriage enrichment and parenting
  • Develop the infrastructure of the ministry to support and sustain growth (registration processes,  reporting structure, recruitment of volunteers, etc)
  • Ensure compliance with our policy and procedures to protect vulnerable persons entrusted to our care
  • Preach and teach in various contexts
  • Create an environment where parents and children with special needs can flourish.

Harvest Mississauga is a diverse and down-to-earth church at the crossroads of four growing GTA cities, aiming to fulfill the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. We are looking for a new member to join our small, creative, entrepreneurial team. The Director of Finance will carry out the mission of Harvest Mississauga with integrity through the wise stewardship of the resources entrusted to the church. This position reports to the Senior Pastor.

CHARACTER

  • Ongoing pursuit of humility and holiness (1 Timothy 3:8-13)
  • Teachable

COMPETENCE

  • Bachelor Degree and/or Diploma in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 5+ years relevant accounting experience
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is an asset
  • Strong collaboration, relational and leadership skills
  • Organized and detailed
  • Experience with Excel and QuickBooks
  • Able to train, teach, equip, lead, and empower people

Contribution

  • Responsibility for proper accounting and financial reporting to the organization, Board of Elders, and government filings
  • Account reconciliation
  • Preparation of annual forecasts and budget
  • Administrate bi-weekly payroll process
  • Manage annual external audits
  • Manage banking relationships and treasury function
  • Conduct financial analysis to inform decision making by elder board and staff
  • Collaborate with volunteer Financial Advisory Team
  • Oversight and direction of the volunteer Tellering Team
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures as required
  • Administrate insurance contracts and coverage
  • Conduct periodic seminars in financial stewardship for members
  • HR procedures, including but not limited to: Leave / absences / vacations, Health and Safety, Employee contracts, Administrate employee benefits plan

Production Coordinator (Part Time)

Production Coordinator (Part-Time Hourly)

Start Time: August / September 2019

In support of this mission, the Production Coordinator will work with a team of volunteers to create a distraction-free environment where people can sing God’s praise and hear from God’s word.

  • Wholeheartedly embraces the mission, vision, and doctrine of Harvest Bible Chapel Mississauga
  • Has a desire to grow personally and professionally, and to see and help others do the same

COMPETENCE

  • Able to equip, empower, and manage teams of volunteers in order to accomplish common goals
  • Able to think critically and creatively
  • Able to evaluate and measure the effectiveness of systems and technology, and adapt
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced using Digital Audio Mixers
  • Experienced with DMX Lighting Consoles
  • Familiar with ProPresenter Soſtware
  • Comfortable in one or more Digital Audio Workstations

Contribution

  • Recruiting, equipping, and managing volunteers for our Production Team
  • Leadership of the Production Teams to create a worship environment that is free from distraction
  • On site to manage Production Team in preparation for and execution of weekend services:
    • Thursday 5PM – 10PM: Weekend Preparation and Worship Rehearsal
    • Sunday 7AM – 3PM: Management of Rehearsal and Services
  • Editing and posting of recorded sermon audio for archive
  • Occasional setup and strike of AVL for other Harvest Ministries or special events (additional hours as needed)
